Our choir is open to any adult who loves singing, whether you are a complete beginner, a rusty returner, or an experienced choir member. All voice parts are welcome, but a waiting list may be made should a section be full. Our Musical Director will conduct a brief audition to establish range and quality of voice. You do not need to read music. We try to make all rehearsals accessible and enjoyable for people of all backgrounds. Our choir is for those who love singing, good company and being part of the local community.

Who can join?
What can you expect?
You can expect friendly, relaxed weekly rehearsals where we focus on singing a mix of well-known songs and uplifting new pieces in a welcoming atmosphere. We meet every Wednesday in The Hall, at the rear of 'Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church', 56 Swanland Road, Hessle, HU13 0LY, at 7:30-9:30pm (Tea and Coffee is compulsory). There is time for learning in sections, singing together as a full choir, with breaks to chat and get to know people. Across the year we work towards local performances and community events, but there is no pressure to be perfect as the emphasis is on enjoyment, confidence, and singing as a group.
